Summit Celebrates an Anniversary and a New Location

Summit Celebrates an Anniversary and a New Location

It’s not often a company celebrates two major milestones in one year, but Summit Information Solutions (Summit) is no ordinary business. Not long after the company celebrated its 15-year anniversary, the business relocated to its new Henrico headquarters on Sadler Road – a space that’s triple the size of its previous location.

“Before our move, we considered other locations, including Scott’s Addition and downtown Richmond,” says Shuganti Caradonna, Summit Information Solutions founder and president. “We decided to stay in the same area of Henrico County because the new location has a great reputation when it comes to progressiveness, quality of life, quality of education and IT talent. There’s been tremendous growth in this area over the past 15 years, and Summit is grateful and excited to be a part of the success story.”

The new location on Sadler Road features a creative, upbeat design that reflects the company’s culture. There are several large and small collaboration spaces for employees, as well as touchdown areas that are perfect for completing on-the-go tasks. The modern design and multipurpose furniture allow for the space to be easily reconfigured.

An Innovative Technology Company

Summit enables the missions and strategic goals of its customers by providing leadership and expertise in the design, development, support and maintenance of technology solutions. The company has grown organically through the years, and today the business offers a range of services, including IT support, management services, technology services, engineering services and 3D virtual learning. Its customer base includes those in the banking, transportation, government, commercial, logistics and non-profit sectors. Today, Summit has 58 employees and a satellite office in Huntsville, Alabama.

With a focus on solving business challenges, Summit has realized continued growth since it began in 2002. Executive Vice President Chris Caradonna explains, “The goal was to create an innovative technology company to help businesses understand the ever-changing technology landscape. This is the third move for Summit, and with each move, it’s been exciting to bring on new talent and broaden our expertise. We’ve grown organically by providing technology and business solutions to our clients and becoming a trusted partner. This has allowed us to expand our support services with existing clients, and their positive feedback and referrals have led to new opportunities.”

Chris Caradonna reports that Summit will continue to grow because of its expertise in blending business insight with technology innovation. “We solve business problems,” he says. “We just happen to come at those problems with a technology and process design focus. We’ve been successful because we’ve tapped into the strength of our employees and empowered them to use their experience and insights to solve business problems for our customers and support our local communities in impactful ways.”

Summit is a Virginia certified Small, Women and Minority-owned (SWaM) Business; a Virginia Business Magazine Best Place to Work in the small business category for 2015, 2016 and 2017; and in 2017, the company was named Business of the Year by the Virginia Asian Chamber of Commerce.

Congratulations to Summit Information Systems on your continued success! We’re so pleased to have small business like yours calling Henrico County home!
